Jakob Dreyer is a German jazz musician, bass player, and composer. He appears on over 30 albums as a sideman, and as a leader he has released the albums Songs, Hymns & Ballads Vol. 1, and Songs, Hymns & Ballads Vol. 2, both of them featuring Jason Rigby on saxophone, Jon Cowherd on piano, and Jimmy Macbride on Drums. Jakob Dreyer has performed with artists such as Steve Wilson, Jochen Rueckert, Rich Perry, Anna Webber, Glenn Zaleski, Jon Davis, Tobias Meinhart, Jamie Baum, Mike Holober, Kenneth Salters, Tivon Pennicott, Mareike Wiening, Troy Roberts, Colin Stranaham, Marta Sánchez, Alex Goodman, and Manuel Valera, and has extensively toured around Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, India, and Russia. Notable venues include the Carnegie Hall in New York City, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C.
